In the world of creativity, many professionals face barriers that limit their ability to express themselves freely. It is in this context that Ana C. and César C. - experts in Branding and Audiovisual Production - decided to give a twist to their careers, venturing into the path of freelancing and creating Estudio Ser, a space that reflects their most disruptive and coherent vision of creative work.
Opting for freelancing was not a decision taken lightly. Both felt that, in many creative spaces, limitations were a constant. "We realized that, in many places where creativity is done, they really limit you from doing it freely," they explain. For them, freelancing represented an opportunity to break down those barriers and unleash their creativity.
Being freelancers has allowed them not only to be more consistent with their ideas, but also to work on projects where creative freedom is a priority. This has been fundamental to develop pieces that connect deeply with people and become part of their daily lives and culture.
One of Estudio Ser's first projects came about unexpectedly. After a bicycle accident, Ana went to a doctor's office, and while she was explaining what she did for a living, the doctor showed interest in her work. The result: a new client and a branding project that came up in the most unlikely place.
Ana and César, originally from Guatemala City, always dreamed of having their own creative space. After quitting their steady jobs, in 2023 they finally gave life to Estudio Ser. The connection with nature is one of the fundamental pillars of their studio, which is reflected in their more human and genuine approach to visual communication.
Both enjoy moments of disconnection that allow them to recharge their batteries and find inspiration. For César, the bicycle is his best therapist; for Ana, nothing like a good coffee and a nap to revitalize herself. In addition, they have developed a taste for working with their hands, whether in the kitchen or in their handmade printing workshop.
One of the most exciting parts for the Estudio Ser team is the research process they go through before creating each piece. "What we like most is finding a trigger that connects with people," they share. This approach allows them to develop communicational pieces that not only meet their objective, but also integrate into people's daily lives in an organic way. This process is highly intuitive. Ana and César believe that both creatives and clients should trust their intuition more.
"We need to be more disruptive, consistent and honest," they recommend. And while these values are especially important in the creative world, they believe they are applicable to any professional field.
As part of the Findie community, Ana and César highlight the value of a platform that brings together, showcases and connects Latin American talent. " We love that Findie opens spaces and generates opportunities within the creative industry," they say. They also value the warm atmosphere and constant attention they receive from the Findie team, which allows them to continue growing and collaborating on projects that transcend borders.
Their work is a clear example of how creativity and intuition can flourish in an unconstrained environment. So much so, that to show Findie's clients a little more about who is behind Estudio Ser, they have created a special video. This cinematic-quality teaser reveals key aspects of their life and work, capturing the essence of their studio as if it were a movie trailer. It is an intimate and authentic look that reflects how their creativity is nurtured by nature and their daily experiences.
Estudio Ser demonstrates how creativity and intuition can thrive when there are no limitations. Ana and César continue to seek innovative ways to connect with people through their work, constantly drawing inspiration from nature and the simple experiences that enrich their daily lives.
